"Almost Summer"

So I'm sitting outside today, baby-free (strangely enough) with the laptop, a pair of needles, a bag of cotton yarn in different colors and a crazy idea for potholders in mind. Haha. I'm thinking I'll call them "Ems". I was thinking of my friend Emily when I got the idea for these so I'm just using this as a way to map out in my mind how I want to make them up.

I'm thinking crazy colors, very bold and warm, with a fun middle design that I'm not going to disclose quite yet (I'd rather post a picture instead) and maybe a funky border with a loopy tail with beads to hang off of a hook or a knob on a cabinet or a drawer.

Man it's nice out today. Kind of breezy but a nice temp. My brother Aaron calls this "almost summer" season. It's wicked nice one day and wicked cold and rainy the next. I'd call it spring but it just doesn't feel like it's described in all the story books. Haha. Seriously though, the weather here on the Cape is such a tease! I want the summer to come SOOOO bad but it seems like whoever's controlling it is taking their sweet time.

Well...off to print out a piece of graph paper and figure out my sweet design. I'll post the pictures of what I come up with when it's finished.
