Last week on Saturday, our daughter, Aria decided it was time to get the party started. After calling in the troops to take care of Malachi, Matt and I ran off to the hospital and were there just waiting for things to progress. It was so strange considering that with Malachi's birth it was super quick and done in a matter of about 5 hours.
Nighttime came and went and the doctor gave us a few options. We could hang out and let my body do its thing, we could go home and come back when things started to pick back up (none of us were a fan of that though, thank God!), have him break my water and hope things would move forward or get the meds that make the contractions progress. We took that last option and finally Miss Aria was born at 11:45am.
We had such a fun time in the hospital though. I had my husband and my friend Emily there with me and it felt like we laughed the whole time. Anyone comming into the maturnity ward that day must have thought we were all nuts. It was such a great environment for her to be born in. It was the same way for Malachi and I had had my friend Jenna there with us for that birth. I think having a close friend AND your hunny there makes the whole experience so much more fun.
